Hotel Julian

We had a power outage in our previous hotel and had to book a room here last minute. Everyone was incredibly accommodating with the pricing and check in/out times. A special shout-out to Angel who made us feel welcome and heard when we were exhausted. The hotel room was colorful, warm, and clean. Made the entire stay ten times better.

I had such a wonderful check-in experience thanks to Julia at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, she rolled out the red carpet and made me feel truly welcome. Her warm and professional manner set the tone for my entire stay. To top it off, she upgraded me to one of their best rooms, which was an incredible surprise and really made my visit special. Julia went above and beyond, and I can’t thank her enough for her kindness and hospitality. She is a real credit to the team and a big reason I’ll be returning.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was super easy to book on hotels.com. Got a great deal. The service was amazing. The place was so clean. I could’ve eaten off the floor. It was close to the activity we were doing. Every single staff member said hello and asked how we liked it. Within three hours of leaving the credit card hold on the room was reversed, which is unheard of usually it takes like a week with hotels. I will definitely be coming to stay here again. Whatever you guys are doing, keep doing it. The only minor and mild complain complaint I have is it has a really old elevator, and the elevator is kind of squeaky in our room was near it. So maybe just oil that bad boy up and we’re good!

I recently stayed at the Hotel Julian and it was phenomenal! The atmosphere and decor of not only the lobby and bar but the rooms are very cool and chic. I also ate at Carlotta's and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend staying here

Hotel Julian exceeded every expectation. While the building is older and the property smaller, my room was surprisingly spacious, comfortable, and fully functional. Everything worked as it should, and the décor felt both classic and contemporary. The location is unbeatable. Very central and walkable, with easy street parking nearby that cost almost nothing and gave me no issues during my stay. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. I have traveled a lot, and this was one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. Taren at check-in was outstanding. He took the time to welcome me, share local tips, and walk me through everything I needed to know about the hotel and the neighborhood. His warmth and professionalism made me feel at home right away. Later in my stay, Paul helped me with a last minute printing job, and like every other staff member I met, he went above and beyond to help. If you are looking for a centrally located hotel with genuine hospitality, thoughtful touches, and excellent service, Hotel Julian is a fantastic choice. I would absolutely stay here again.

My boyfriend and I had a great visit at Hotel Julian for our anniversary weekend. The customer service was 10/10, the rooms were clean and had a cute decor with the old style feel. The elevator wasn’t working during our visit, but the staff was kind and offered to take our bags up, even offered to hold them for us when we checked out early. The area isn’t the best but it is walking distance to a lot of bars and restaurants. 10/10 we would definitely go back to Hotel Julian!

Had a really nice week in the Hotel Julian. The room was pleasant and quiet (we were on the courtyard side). The bathroom was modern and the bed was comfortable. The elevator didn't work all week, but we're the people that would have taken the stairs anyway. That might be a problem for some. The location was excellent for access to things in all directions. If you are a timid city goer maybe avoid walking straight down the hill towards the Powell St BART station, all other directions led to pleasant neighborhoods. We happily used the Lime scooters and public transit to get all over the Bay area. Get a Clipper card on your phone.

Our stay at Hotel Julian was truly special thanks to Reisha. From the very first interaction, Reisha was incredibly welcoming, kind, and genuinely attentive. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of, and it honestly made our entire stay feel personal rather than just another hotel visit. You can tell she truly cares about guests, and that level of service makes a huge difference. Because of her, we felt at home and well looked after. We’re very grateful for her help and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!
